Nov. 28, according to Amazon’s latest internal data show that the e-commerce giant’s annual delivery volume in the United States for the first time surpassed its competitors, is expected to ship a total of 4.8 billion packages by Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and is predicted to reach about 5.9 billion packages by the end of 2023. By contrast, UPS saw about 3.4 billion packages in the U.S. in the first nine months of this year and is not expected to exceed last year’s total of 5.3 billion in 2023. FedEx has fewer packages in the United States, both of which include packages destined for final delivery by the U.S. Postal Service.
