General Motors to Cut Spending on Cruise Following Autonomous Vehicle Accident

General Motors (GM) will reduce spending on its autonomous driving division, Cruise, following a pedestrian accident that occurred last month. In October, a self-driving taxi operated by Cruise failed to come to a stop in time and collided with a pedestrian who had been knocked down by a hit-and-run driver.
